First of all, BIRTHDAYS.. My birthday is in March, so naturally that is why I am biased towards loving March so much. My dad's birthday and my brother, Logan's birthday are also in March- 3 coolest people around are getting celebrated in the next four weeks! Whoop! Albert Einstein, Dr. Seuss, Shaquille O'neal, Carrie Underwood, (Osama Bin Ladin), Johann Sebastian Bach, and Reese Witherspoon also have birthdays in March, just to name a few.
Also, I got married in March, so my first wedding anniversary ever is rolling around.
The day of green leprecauns, and pots of gold give us a reason to have green eggs and ham (or just Lucky Charms) for breakfast and cornedbeef and cabbage for dinner.. St. Patrick's Day (also sister-in-law, Kim's birthday!)
THE FIRST DAY OF SPRING, which is really exciting. It slowly starts to warm up in March so your Cabin Fever begins to melt away. BUT , here in Colorado it also means there's a good chance of a blizzard occuring. Which is actually fun because school/work will mostly likely be cancelled for a few days, and you get one last chance to finish up the hot cocoa in the tin, watch unwatched DVR recordings and stay in your flannel pj's all day.
March Madness is always an exciting source of friendly competitiveness.

Spring Break- gives most of America a reason to migrate to Mexico for a week.
Daylight Savings Time- it begins to stay lighter in the evenings, and the sun is actually getting up when I get up in the morning!
