Many of our weekends are spent up in the Colorado mountains. Saturday morning we woke up 5:30am (Per Rick- we must be out the door by 6am to beat traffic when we go to the mountains, by 6:15 it'll take us twice as long to get up there) So we got to Peaks Trail Head around 7:30- the start of our 10-mile snowshoeing journey. This trail starts in Breckenridge and ends in Frisco, which was our plan- they then have a free shuttle in Frisco that brings you back up to your car in Breckenridge. But halfway through the hike, the trail merged with another and we are able to loop back up to Breckenridge and not have to do the shuttle thing! It turned out to be a more intermediate trail, but it was SO much fun! This was our first time snowshoeing and we had a BLAST. Ther weather and scenery were absolutley beautiful. The 10-miles tooks us about 3 hours- which seems really fast to me! It was quite the workout. We have now added snowshoeing to our list of fun, recreational activities we like to do :D
We had to get back by the afternoon because that evening we went to the RODEO with some good friends (It was a day of firsts for us!) Neither of us had ever been to the Rodeo and what an experience it is! Not gonna lie, even being married to THE Ricky Martin, a bull-ridin cowboy can make my heart flutter a little bit :D It was a very exciting and entertaining event. YEEEEE HAAWW!
